Niles DDA Main Street has opened a local Entrepreneurial Center.  In partnership with Leader Publications, the Center will be located on the 2nd floor of 219 North 4th Street, in Downtown Niles.

The center will be used by entrepreneurs in our area that are interested in starting food based businesses-specifically Specialty & Ethnic foods, and will have a Certified Kitchen for this purpose, which will be opening later this spring.  By providing a place for these entrepreneurs to learn the business of starting a business, we not only help entrepreneurs, we also help Niles, and the surrounding communities.

Our ultimate goal is that Niles, MI will become the regional hub for entrepreneurs.

The center will not only provide incubator space for new businesses, it will also offer valuable training opportunities to current district businesses owners as well as other individuals .

Starting a Business can be can overwhelming decision for a budding entrepreneur.  This seminar is structured to identify the key considerations for such a venture and the specific questions entrepreneurs should answer approaching such a decision.  SCORE counseling can assist the entrepreneur in making the right decision.

This two-hour seminar will center on the specific considerations and steps to start-up a small business:  Starting a Business Decision Making; Basics for Getting Started; Business Plan Summary; Two Dozen Do’s and Don’ts for Home Business Success; Readiness Checklist; Finding Funding Success
